There are places you think you already know because you have seen them a thousand times on postcards, then you get there, step aboard a boat, and realize that reality is a whole different story. That is exactly what I felt the other day when I decided to treat myself to a special day between Sorrento and Capri by booking a boat directly on Queryboat.
The start of the adventure: Sorrento
Everything started early in the morning. The air smelled of salt and lemons, and the sun was shining high in a completely blue sky. Heading to Capri and the Faraglioni
Sailing in the gulf with the breeze in my hair is one of those priceless feelings of freedom. We headed towards Capri, cruising along spectacular cliffs and hidden coves accessible only by sea.
The highlight? When we approached the Faraglioni. Seeing them rise majestically from the crystal-clear water, with the sun reflecting a thousand shades of blue on the sea, is an experience that leaves you breathless. Being able to stop nearby, swim in such clear water, and enjoy the view without the crowds of large tourist excursions made everything perfect.
Why I would do it again tomorrow
